I am an MSc. student in Civil Engineering with focus on water resources, where my current research is on comparison of the usability of Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) data, and river ice data on hydropower in Manitoba. This study will enhance the understanding of the interactions between hydrological and climatological processes and their implications for renewable energy in Manitoba.
My undergraduate thesis was on Investigating the Effects of Anthropogenic Activities in the Temporal Variation of Water Quality in Ogbomoso North, Nigeria, which emphasized the deteriorating impact of anthropogenic activities on water quality. The study was because of the increasing deterioration of water quality resulting from population explosion, increased anthropogenic activities, and surface runoff in the study area, which increased the potential to cause adverse health conditions. I am driven to dedicate myself to understanding various environmental and climatological factors and how they alter natural processes, and to explore innovative approaches to solving problems related to the management of sustainable water resources and climate variations.
