I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba, working with Dr. Donghoon Lee in the Hydroclimate–Society Lab. My research focuses on hydrological modeling, prediction, and water-related risks, integrating physically based modeling, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence to better understand complex hydrological processes and support water-related decision-making.
My previous research has focused on developing data-driven and computational approaches to understanding and predicting hydrological hazards across urban and regional scales. This includes deep learning surrogate modeling, explainable machine learning, and impact-based risk assessment. Through this work, I aim to improve the accuracy, computational efficiency, and practical applicability of hydrological modeling and prediction.
My current research explores how advances in Earth observation, hydrological modeling, and artificial intelligence can improve our understanding and prediction of complex water systems. I am particularly interested in translating these advances into practical insights that support water resources management and decision-making under changing environmental conditions.
